The Snow Lay on the Ground, Festive Carols from Trinity Wall Street, is comprised of nine carol arrangements by Director of Music Julian Wachner, interspersed with four carol-based organ improvisations performed by him. The new album features the acclaimed Choir of Trinity Wall Street featured on the recent recording of Julia Wolfe’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Anthracite Fields – along with the Trinity Youth Chorus, brass and percussion from Trinity’s resident contemporary music orchestra, NOVUS NY, with James Kennerley on organ for the carol settings.
