Anglican Prayer Beads, also known as the Anglican Rosary, is a relatively new prayer form which is a blending of the Marian (Roman Catholic) Rosary and the Orthodox Jesus Prayer Rope. Comprised of 33 beads divided into four weeks with an invitatory bead and four cruciform beads. Prayer beads or rosaries can be traced as far back as the 8th century BCE and can be found in every major religion. Both the beads and the box are handcrafted using the pruned branches of the olive trees growing on the hills of Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
